OUR MISSION

The preschool and primary Andorran School of Ordino was born in 2003. Our mission was to offer every child a high-quality school which is open to the environment and the families, participative that respects the students pace and their needs and preparing them for life as well.

We embrace students from 2 years of age to 11 years old, distributed into two educational levels: preschool and primary school. On each level we organize them by cycles so that from preschool to 1st cycle, the students can share many experiences with others two years apart: We promote the peer and collaborative learning (we all learn from others, we help each other and we collaborate).

We understand the teaching methodologies as tools that help the students to progress in their learning on the basis they already know and respect their Learning style. We learn the value of each student and their differences, understanding the role of the teacher as a facilitator and as a guide of the learning process who masters with and from their students.

Our school understands the importance of developing all types of intelligence, and this is the reason why we reinforce emotional education from the tutorial area and diversify the educational activities and the tools involved as well. We prioritize the acquisition of human values, habits, behavioral patterns and work habits, boosting self-sufficiency and integration into society.

We encourage environmental education and the healthy lifestyle defining ourselves as a green and healthy school.

We are aware that the students spend many hours working hard, therefore we believe that homework is a habit to acquire planning and responsibility and not as a continuation of the school day. We consider that with less homework the student would acquire the habit.
