An Exciting Learning Journey
| At school, we want children to enjoy learning, exploring, and discovering the world around them. That's why, as part of our methodological project, we have created the Discovery Environments, an innovative and dynamic learning proposal designed for the youngest learners in the First Cycle. |

What are the Discovery Environments?
Discovery Environments are learning spaces where children can actively explore and learn, developing skills and competencies through their own experiences. These spaces are a continuation of the Early Childhood Environments and are designed to support key areas of development such as autonomy, la creativity and critical thinking.
Goals and Benefits for Our Children:
- Cross-curricular skills: Children learn through experience, with the goal of developing essential skills for their future such as communication, decision-making, and organization.
- Autonomy and decision-making: In these spaces, children have the freedom to make decisions and manage their own tasks, learning to organize themselves and reflect on their actions.
- Interaction and shared learning: Children work together with their classmates, learning to communicate and solve problems collaboratively.
- Active learning: The environments are designed for children to discover on their own, asking questions and testing their ideas and hypotheses.

How Do the Discovery Environments Work?
- The environments are organized by cycle, with materials and activities adapted to each child's level of maturity. This way, each child can explore and investigate according to their own interests and pace.
- The teachers act as guides and companions, observing, asking questions, and adapting the materials to meet individual needs.
- Each environment lasts for 6 sessions (one hour per session), spread throughout the semester. Children must complete each activity, committing to finishing the challenges and tasks presented in each space.

Our 5 Discovery Environments
The environments are spaces designed to stimulate different areas of learning. Each environment offers unique proposals that foster creativity, observation, and scientific reasoning. The environments that the children will experience throughout the year are as follows:

How Are the Environments Organized?
- Each child has their own work plan and goes through all the environments once per semester.
- The environments remain throughout both semesters of the school year, but each time with new and different proposals to maintain the interest and motivation of the students.
- All of this is organized with a flexible structure: 4 sessions of an hour and a half for each environment, allowing children to delve deeper into each proposal and achieve the established objectives.
With the discovery environments, the school aims to promote learning that is meaningful, fun and adapted to the needs of each child, so that learning becomes an exciting experience full of discoveries!
Come and discover it!
